Klasther Biopharma

The founding members’ team consists of four Professors working at the Molecular Biotechnology Center of the University of Torino, all with sound research experience in oncology and biotechnology. The members’ diverse specialization and expertise translate well into complementary and synergistic roles within the team.

Klasther Biopharma aims at developing innovative anticancer drugs obtained through the engineering of hybrid molecules combining a tumor-specific antibody and a cytotoxic drug or a radioligand. These hybrid molecules, designed by the founding partners, have the ability to deliver the anticancer drug or isotope directly and specifically to tumor cells, sparing normal tissue cells from the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Klasther Biopharma laboratory is located at the “Guido Tarone” Center for Molecular Biotechnology (University of Turin), where the team collaborates with several groups and uses the Center’s facilities. Additionally, for bioinformatics studies and data analysis, Klasther collaborates with researchers from the Department of Oncology of the University of Turin.
