Who we are

Gruppo Gheron is one of the leading players in the Italian healthcare and social care sector, with a history that began in 1990 on the initiative of the Bariani family. Originally focused on providing third-party services, the Group has evolved through a far-sighted strategic vision, transforming into a solid and well-structured organization that today directly manages a network of excellence.

With its legal headquarters in Milan, the organization coordinates 33 Residential Healthcare Facilities (RSA) strategically located across Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Liguria, and Tuscany, offering a total capacity of approximately 4,000 beds.

The Group’s strength lies in its ability to combine dimensional growth with ethical and rigorous business management. Gheron employs around 2,000 professionals and operates under an Organizational, Management and Control Model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01, extended across the entire network. The company stands out nationally for integrating ESG criteria into its development strategy, as demonstrated by the Gender Equality Certification (UNI PdR 125:2022) and the use of state-of-the-art facilities designed with high energy efficiency standards (A3 class or higher).

Under the leadership of Chairman Sergio Bariani and CEO Massimo Bariani, the Group continues to strengthen its leadership through strategic partnerships with major international real estate funds, confirming its role as a reliable point of reference for the healthcare system and local communities.

What we do

Gruppo Gheron’s activities are focused on delivering a comprehensive range of high-quality social, healthcare, and rehabilitation services designed to effectively meet the needs of invalid over-65 people and other vulnerable individuals. The core offer includes Residential Healthcare Facilities (RSA), especially specialized Alzheimer’s units, protected care units, and intermediate care services.

Service diversification also includes community hospitals, hospices for palliative care, integrated day-care centers, and home care services (RSA Aperta), ensuring a holistic care pathway that supports patients throughout every stage of frailty.

The Group’s competitive advantage lies in its multidisciplinary and technologically advanced approach. Each facility is designed to maximize clinical safety and residents’ well-being through cutting-edge technical equipment including centralized oxygen systems, on-site ECG monitoring, and ceiling-mounted lifting systems.

Technological innovation is complemented by scientific excellence, exemplified by an innovative dementia project developed in collaboration with the University of Turin. Thanks to a multidisciplinary team of specialist physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and psychologists, the Group ensures personalized and high-quality care.

The primary objective is to maintain service excellence—providing families the reliability of professional support and ensuring patients dignified care based on the most advanced rehabilitation protocols.
