THE DESIGN IDEA
SysteMA (Systemic Design and Sustainable Healthcare for MedTech Manufacturing) is an educational project funded by EIT Manufacturing that addresses the educational challenges of sustainable healthcare for the European MedTech industry.
Demand for sustainability in the sector has grown in recent years, and the current pandemic has further heightened the concerns of EU health systems about their environmental impact. The demand for green purchasing, sustainable products/services and higher environmental standards is expected to increase significantly. However, EU industries have few tools to fill knowledge gaps on sustainable health issues and seize opportunities for innovation.
CUSTOMIZED ONLINE TRAINING
The project will develop an online training program to address this need, offering learning paths tailored to the starting level and sustainability goals that MedTech professionals and students aim to acquire.
THE REALITIES BEHIND SYSTEMA
SysteMA brings together an international partnership of universities (Polytechnic University of Turin, IT – coordinator), sustainable healthcare networks (TEM Foundation, SE), large MedTech companies (GVS, IT and Stryker, IE) and industrial clusters (Bioindustry Park Silvano Fumero, IT and Upper Silesia Entrepreneurship and Development Agency, PL).
