Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria San Luigi Gonzaga in Orbassano (Turin) is a public  hospital within the Piedmont Regional Health Service, integrated with the University of  Turin. It combines patient care, teaching and research, and is one of the main hospitals  of the regional network for the south-western part of the Turin metropolitan area.

The hospital provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency services across many  medical and surgical specialties. It works with the community health services of the  local health authorities in its catchment area and with the other hospitals of the regional  network, ensuring care pathways for complex, highly specialised conditions.

San Luigi hosts degree programmes and medical specialty schools of the University  of Turin, and each year it trains students, residents and health professionals. Clinical and translational research is carried out together with university departments and other  research institutions, with the aim of bringing scientific results into clinical practice.  The hospital is organised into departments and complex units. It promotes projects in  organisational innovation, humanisation of care and staff wellbeing, in line with its  public service mission.
