THE PROJECT.

The European project “bioXclusters – EU Initiative Promoting SME Internationalisation Through Clusters “started in January 2012 and will run for 24 months.

The project is funded by the European Commission’s DG Enterprise under the call for proposals “Promotion and development of world-class clusters in Europe” and coordinated by ERAI – Development Agency of the Rhône Alpes region of France.

bioXclusters aims to strengthen, through cooperation and sharing of resources, the competitiveness in global markets (3 target markets: Brazil, China and the United States) of the Small and Medium Enterprises operating in the Life Sciences sector, pooling the expertise of the 4 territories involved (Catalonia-Spain, Bavaria-Germany, Piedmont-Italy, Rhone Alpes-France).

The ultimate goal is to achieve the critical mass needed to foster cluster internationalization and provide strong support to businesses through targeted expertise and innovative high-level services.
